Why plant-based

Three reasons to eat plant-based more often. Short, without a raised finger.

For the animals

Plant-based eating costs no animal lives. In livestock farming most animals live short lives in cramped conditions. Every plant-based meal is one for which no animal was kept or slaughtered.

For climate and environment

Producing meat and dairy takes far more land, water and feed than plant-based food, and emits more greenhouse gases. Fewer animal products on your plate is one of the biggest steps you can take at home.

For yourself

A varied plant-based diet with legumes, whole grains, nuts, vegetables and fruit fits a healthy eating pattern. Do mind vitamin B12: take it as a supplement or through fortified products. The recipes on this site show kcal and protein per person.
